Option.
The Academia (SUPERNOVA) 2025–2027,
organized by the Social Science option, was held on Monday, November 03, 2025.
The program commenced at 1:30 PM in the Old Auditorium of Navajyothi College.
The event was conducted under the guidance of the Principal, Dr. Sr. Gigi Paul,
and the Academia In-charge, Dr. Sr. Mary Trini. The program was convened by the
student coordinator, Alna Antony.
The main theme of the presentation was ADHD
(Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder). The session aimed to create
awareness about ADHD, its symptoms, causes and measures to support children
affected by the condition.
The presentation began with an
introduction to ADHD by Annlit Rose E. B., who explained the basic concept and
importance of understanding ADHD. Aneeshya presented the topic of inattention,
describing its major characteristics and its impact on children’s learning and behavior.
Jiya K. Biju explained the symptoms of hyperactivity clearly and effectively.
Sheeba T. discussed the symptoms of impulsivity and how it affects children’s
actions and decision-making. Finally, Amrutha Anil explained the causes of ADHD
and suggested various measures to help and support children with ADHD in educational
and social environments.
The presentation was informative and
engaging, and it helped the audience gain a better understanding of ADHD. The programme
concluded successfully with positive feedback from the participants.
